Grant McIntosh, Managing Director
Grant joined the company in 1982 as Production Director, coming from a background in construction project management. He is committed to maintaining high quality production and developing innovative techniques, ensuring the company meets the requirements of its domestic and international clients.
He worked with his father, Ken until Ken retired from full time work in 2001. Ken had taken over from his father Ian, who founded the original Company, I.R. McIntosh Ltd (established in 1930's as a furniture business).
Grant is responsible for sales in the Pacific Islands and continues to develop the large range of timber Glulam structures since McIntosh Timber Laminates Ltd's first project in the Pacific in 1972. He took over from Ken as Managing Director in 2001.
Owen Griffiths, Sales and Marketing Director
Owen joined McIntosh in 1969, being appointed Marketing Director in 1988 and has been involved for 36 years in the development and manufacture of structural timber solutions. Specialising in laminated timber, he has been involved in expanding the international awareness of NZ Glulam's potential as a prime structural design option for McIntosh. He has been instrumental in introducing NZ Glulam structures to a number of overseas markets that have previously been dominated by steel and concrete. These include a large number of distinctive timber structures in Asia and the Middle East.
Owen is an active member of New Zealand Pine Manufacturers Association, New Zealand Timber Certification Board, Structural Engineered Timber Manufacturers Association and New Zealand Timber Design Society. He has presented various papers and spoken at a number of international seminars on timber design.
Grant (Sandy) Sandiford, Technical Services Manager (AMIMechE)
Sandy has been with McIntosh since 1998. He has responsibility for servicing New Zealand clients. He handles local Glulam projects and looks after our extensive alliances with local merchants and builders.
Sandy is also responsible for the development of our IT systems from CAD draughting through to costing.

With a staff of 32, McIntosh has a large pool of experienced, qualified and gifted employees who make up a team dedicated to providing the type of quality engineered products our customers require.
