Timber Treatment extends the useful life of wood by modifying its resistance to fungal and insect attack.
McIntosh Timber Laminates Ltd recommends the use of pre-treated full penetration CCA, ACQ and TAN E (Copper AZOLE) for exterior conditions from H3.2 to H5 treatment levels. For interior conditions we recommend pre-treated full penetration H1.2 Boron treatment. We also offer LOSP (Light Organic Solvent Preservative) envelope treatment of the finished Glulam beams for interior clear appearance. For in-ground application McIntosh offers H5 treatment for Glulam Posts which is a superior treatment level than H4 but we have the availability of H4 if specified. McIntosh Timber Laminates recommends all Glulam Beams and Posts cut on site; the exposed ends must be recoated to reduce end checking.
