McIntosh Timber Laminates Ltd is New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of structural Laminated Timber (Glulam) with over 50 years experience. As pioneers of Glulam production in New Zealand M.T.L. has also been at the forefront of production technology with extensive involvement in development of design and manufacturing codes for Glulam. Under the inspection of the NZ Timber Certification Board and third party auditors we hold License No 2061 under ASNZS 1328 – Manufacture of Glue Laminated Structural Timber.
Situated in East Tamaki Auckland our 3500 square metre factory features Glulam portal frames, Glulam gantry beams and showcases elegant reverse curved Glulam beams in our administration block.
As well as manufacturing a full range of Glulam beams and posts for the New Zealand market, for the past 30 years McIntosh has specialised in the provision of complete design, manufacture, supply and installation supervision of packaged timber engineered structures.
From the plant in Auckland New Zealand, now almost 70% of our production is for international projects – countries throughout the Middle East, Asia, India, North Africa, the Pacific Islands, and Australasia. We have a commitment to ensure that the highest quality of service and solutions are provided to our clients.
Working with timber from sustainably harvested plantation forests McIntosh Glulam offers an environmentally-responsible construction option backed by FSC Chain of Custody Certification.
The management of the company is the responsibility of Directors – Grant McIntosh and Owen Griffiths who enjoy the loyal support of factory, sales and office staff many of whom have been with the company for more than 20 years.
